Summer Camp

June - July  |  Ages 4 - 10

Enroll your child in a stimulating summer day camp full of discovery, adventure and nature exploration!

This summer, the Garden offers two programs for each age group: one focused on sensory explorations in the Garden and the other focused on cooking in the Garden. We hope that your child can join us for amazing adventures this summer.

  • To register by phone or request a brochure, call 404.876.5859 ext. 2557. Phone and mail registrations are processed in the order they are received when registration opens.
  • There is a 21 student maximum for each camp session.
  • To receive the member discount online, members must create an account at least three days in advance to allow time for the account to be verified. Members who do not receive the discount online should call the registrar on or after Monday, February 4 at 404.591.1543.
  • Refunds are granted before May 20 with a $20 fee. After May 20, refunds are granted only if the vacancy is filled.

Sprouting Chefs

Ages 4 - 6
 
June 17 - 21 or June 24 - 28
9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Create delicious and nutritious treats in the Edible Garden Outdoor Kitchen using freshly harvested produce. During this interactive session, campers learn more about the food they eat, where it comes from and how to cook it. In addition to cooking in the Garden, campers also create artwork with edible products and play games.

Fee: $259/child (Members $239)
Lunch: Session fee includes lunch

Habitat Explorers

Ages 4 - 6

July 8 – 12 or July 15 – 19
9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Celebrate your imagination! From discovering garden legends to looking for treasure, campers will expand their minds and use their powerful observation skills to explore the Garden. Creativity and a sense of adventure is recommended for all campers. 

Fee: $209/child (Members $189)
Lunch: Campers bring a sack lunch

Junior Garden Chefs

Ages 7 - 10

June 3 – 7 or June 10 – 14
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Where does food come from? What types of foods can be prepared using freshly harvested produce? Campers find out the answers to these questions and more as they gather, investigate and prepare tasty treats in the Edible Garden Outdoor Kitchen. This session examines many elements of food from how it grows to preparing meals with lots of fruits and vegetables.

Fee: $319/child (Members $289)
Lunch: Session fee includes lunch

Adventures in the Garden

Ages 7 - 10

July 22 – 26
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Explore and discover the marvelous world of the Atlanta Botanical Garden. From tantalizing rainforests to mysterious bogs, campers will venture into the fabulous and fantastic world of their imaginations. With the Garden as their inspiration, they will create whimsical art, play fun games and go on Garden adventures.

Fee: $269/child (Members $239)
Lunch: Campers bring a sack lunch

Watch Junior Garden Chef Demos

Summer Camp in the Edible Garden offers a fantastic opportunity for children to learn how to prepare freshly harvested food. Click to the left and watch the Garden Chef demonstrate fun, easy recipes for Carrot Coins and Watermelon Cookies. Try them at home with your kids!
