Moore in America

Moore in America

Moore in America was the largest outdoor exhibition of Henry Moore's sculpture ever presented in the United States. In 2008, it was ranked by TIME magazine as one of the top 10 museum exhibits in the country.

In 2009, the 20 spectacular works displayed throughout the Atlanta Botanical Garden provided for an impressive interaction of nature and art such as Moore envisioned. One of the finest botanical gardens in the world and Atlanta's treasured urban oasis, the Garden offered an intimate venue for such a grand exhibition. Moore's monumental sculptures set in the Garden's intensive plant collections created a unique viewing experience.

The Henry Moore Foundation, which is dedicated to furthering the understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of Henry Moore's work, co-curated the exhibition. National support was provided by the MetLife Foundation and local support was provided by UPS.
